Mainly based on Wen Qiufang, Wang Shouyuan and Horwitzs study on language learning beliefs, the research group designed an inventory of 26 items to assess student beliefs in five major aspects: foreign language aptitude, the difficulty of language learning, the nature of language learning, learning and communication strategies, and motivations.
